Why does everything I keep seeing coming out of the DNC look and sound so much better and more awesome than anything I ever heard come out of the RNC?
Why couldn’t they have swapped and had the DNC down here rather than be plagued by the RNC for a week? At least with the DNC I would have liked the visiting party more.

“England is just a small island. Its roads and houses are small. With few exceptions, it doesn’t make things that people in the rest of the world want to buy. And if it hadn’t been separated from the continent by water, it almost certainly would have been lost to Hitler’s ambitions.” — Mitt Romney
I had to search Google, because I had a fucking hard time believing this quote was real. I was horrified to learn that indeed it is, taken from his book, “No Apology: The Case For American Greatness” and the title says pretty much everything you need to know about that book.
This is taken from the book’s Amazon page:
In No Apology, Mitt Romney asserts that American strength is essential—not just for our own well-being, but for the world’s. Governments such as China and a newly-robust Russia threaten to overtake us on many fronts, and Islam continues its dangerous rise. Drawing on history for lessons on how great powers collapse, Romney shows how and why our national advantages have eroded. From the long-term decline of our manufacturing base, our laggard educational system that has left us without enough engineers, scientists, and other skilled professionals, our corrupted financial practices that led to the current crisis, and the crushing impact of entitlements on our future obligations, America is in debt, overtaxed, and unprepared for the challenges it must face.
Translation: Romney thinks we’re all fucked (I agree) but he still insists that America is pretty fucking great.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooow

The Obama campaign has released a video on how horrible Romney would be for American women. I certainly don’t need convincing - but if I did, this would likely do it.
Can we get something like this for Ron Paul, because I get otherwise liberal people supporting Ron Paul and it’s disturbing and I don’t like it.
This sort of thing scares me. It really does, every time I hear about this sort of crap going down it scares me. They say over and over in this video ‘we thought this was already settled’ I did to, if anything I thought maybe it’d get even better, you know better coverage for birth control, accessible abortion clinics and procedures for women who want or need them, equal pay for women in the workplace, etc. but no it seems like its only back sliding to an extreme degree in the last half a year. I hate it, I fricking hate it, I’m a woman I’m still young I’m about to turn 22 and I’m trying to get a job, while I have no need for an abortion (and never hope to ever need one) I want equal rights I don’t want to be treated like these old white gray haired morons are, they seem to think women are cattle or something similar who are only meant to stay at home and just take what he man gives them. They also seem to be making the gap between church and state impossibly small, that shit shouldn’t happen, I do not believe the same things religiously as these assholes do, I should not have to suffer because their ‘God’ or whatever thing they call a higher power says I am a lesser creature made to produce babies and serve them. I am an intelligent HUMAN BEING I deserve equal rights and aid!
What scares me a little bit more is the fact that things seem to be looking grim for President Obama being reelected, I want him in I will take him over Romney, I’m not saying Obama is the best man for the job, but anything to keep people like Romney out would make me happy, he may not be the best ever, but he’s the best we’ve got to pick from.

And who has the lobbying power to make sure he never has to pay more.
I make $10.50/hr with no benefits. Don’t talk to me.
