I just finished watching Prometheus finally… Why were they all so god damn stupid? I mean I know its a horror movie but daaamn, every character in that movie made every choice that would result in getting themselves killed.
Oh lets take our helmets off and walk around the environment we’ve only been in for a couple minutes. What’s that? we found some canisters leaking black ooze oh we’re just going to traipse among them with our helmets still off and not inspect them at all.
Oh wait we’re alone in here lets wait and rest in the creepy ass room with the giant head and the canisters that are leaking black goo in small rivers and puddles now. What was that? some weird snake thing in a place where we thought there would be no life at all, lets go poke it and get closer to it and not question it at all.
Oh we’re picking up something on the scanners, nah its just a glitch nothing to worry about.
I mean that movie from like the moment the humans woke up on the ship crap just starts going wrong. I dunno the CG was really good, I liked the CG. and David was cool and was a creepy little booger, but other than that I dunno I wasn’t really that great, not really anything I’d feel compelled to own and watch again at all. This one was a lot more gross and graphic than I ever remember the other Alien movies being as well, and thats with the little chest bursters busting out of people’s stomachs and such. I think the crew’s stupidity just kind of ruined the movie for me a bit. I know its a horror movie but come on, these are 17 adult people who had to have been at least reasonably intelligent in order to even get on the mission to fly two years away from earth and find the origin of human life.
